Dermal Fillers

Deep ‘smile lines’ around the mouth (otherwise known as nasolabial folds and marionette lines), sunken cheeks, and loss of lip volume are telltale signs of the aging process — most would agree that there is no better way other than with fillers to significantly and quickly minimize your deep folds and augment your lips. Dermal fillers work by filling or volumizing areas that have lost volume and / or collagen to ultimately stimulate your own collagen production. Many enjoy having a non-surgical ‘liquid facelift’ with fillers so that they can avoid the downtime associated with a surgical facelift but still reap the benefits of a regained natural, youthful, and rested look.

Standard Dermal Fillers:

Standard dermal fillers are FDA-approved products many of which are derived from hyaluronic acid – a substance found within your own body. Such standard fillers typically last up to 12 months but longevity varies and depends upon your metabolism. The average candidate will require at least 1-3 syringes of fillers depending upon individual characteristics and age for full correction of the ‘smile lines.’ One syringe Is typically adequate for lip augmentation.

Our Providers use a variety of standard fillers like Juvederm Ultra/Ultra Plus®, Restylane®, Radiesse®, Perlane®, and others. If you have a preference, let us know when you submit your offer. We have Providers all over, from Los Angeles to New York.

Median retail price: $675 per syringe (applies for 1.0cc Juvederm, Restylane, Perlane syringes and 0.8cc Radiesse syringe)
Typical downtime: none to minimal

Long Lasting Fillers:

Have you tried fillers before and want a longer lasting filler solution? Sculptra® is a collagen rebuilder and may be the best option for many patients looking for a longer lasting dermal filler. Optimal results are typically achieved with approximately 3 sessions of Sculptra® to volumize those deeper folds and sunken areas. One to two vials are typically used per session, and sessions are usually spaced 4-6 weeks apart. Results can last up to 2 years or longer but longevity varies depending upon your metabolism.

Median retail price: $1000 per vial
Typical downtime: none to minimal

Note that it is generally recommended that patients hold blood-thinning medications (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, fish oils) at least 10 days prior to any dermal filler procedure to minimize the minor bruising and swelling that may occur after filler procedures.
