Botox is used to treat certain types of migraines. In 2010, the FDA approved the use of Botox as a form of treatment for chronic migraines. The injections are administered in various areas of the head and also on the neck. Relief typically lasts for approximately 3 months. Some health insurances may cover the Botox injections as such.
