Just like safety, it is understandable that pain would be of concern to prospective dermal filler patients. Most providers take the best efforts to minimize discomfort. Prior to your filler administration, you may receive a topical anesthetic that will be applied to the relevant treatment area. In addition, some providers may offer a dental block especially if you are having lip fillers. Moreover, many of the fillers nowadays have lidocaine pre-mixed into the filler which helps to further minimize discomfort.
